Cyril Flint Befrienders is seeking to recruit a committed and enthusiastic Marketing and Communications professional to further strengthen our Board of Trustees and help us achieve the next phase of our planned development.
The Trustees are responsible for the good governance and financial management of the Charity, and for ensuring that its core purpose of helping to combat loneliness and isolation in older people, and the harmful impact this has, is carried out. We are working to reduce isolation and loneliness via our one to one befriending service; recruiting and training volunteers form the local community and matching them with local older people, helping communities to come together to solve this growing issue.
If you care about older people and have relevant experience at a strategic level, then we would love to hear from you. We are specifically looking for an individual with professional knowledge, experience and skills in Marketing and Communications to join our Board of Trustees.
NB: This is a voluntary role and reasonable expenses will be paid.
Bi-monthly 1-2 hour meetings held in Wythenshawe, in the early evening.
In addition to this you will be expected to spend approximately 1-2 hours per month assisting the charity in your area of expertise. You will also be asked to attend and/or assist at events, representing the charity and raising awareness about the work we are doing in the local community, such as at local community fairs and in local supermarkets.
